Power In The Park Regatta
April 19th-20th Come and join us for the 7th annual Power In The Park Regatta held on the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River. This is the Virginia State Championships and will be packed with racing excitment. You can view this race from the banks of Portsmouth City Park and as always, admission is free to all.
Carolinia Cup Regatta
June 7th-8th The third annual Carolina Cup Regatta brings together many nationally-reconized power boat racers as well as area racers for two thrill-packed days of racing. The race is held on the Pasquotank River and can be viewed from the Elizabeth City Waterfront Park. www.carolinacupregatta.com
Hampton Cup Regatta
Aungust 8th-10th The nation's oldest continuous hydroplane regatta celebrates 82 years of high-speed action on Hampton's waterways. Nine classes of hydroplane boats race in a festive atmosphere with food and beverage vendors, music and radio station give-aways, with free admission. The race will be held in Mill Creek and can be viewed From Fort Monroe or the E. Mercury Blvd. Bridge. www.hamptoncupregatta.org
Clarksville Challenge Regatta
October 4th-5th Where else can you race on two lakes at the same time? While here in Clarksville, Virginia, the boats race on beautiful Buggs Island Lake. But ask a visitor from south of the border in North Carolina, and they'll tell you that you've competed on Kerr Reservoir. Either way, it's some of the best racing on the East Coast. The race course, located between the Highway 58 Business and Bypass bridges offers outstanding spectator viewing of the races from the causeway of the local bridge. www.clarksvillehydroplane.com
